The Arlington Public Library announced a brief pause in its regular storytime schedule for December, giving parents and their little ones a momentary respite before the festive rush. In an update shared on their official social media page, the Arlington Public Library confirmed that most storytimes will be on hiatus, planning to resume activities in the New Year. However, families won't be left entirely without the cherished ritual, as a reduced storytime schedule for December has been released.
The library promises that the seasonal break is a chance to regroup and prepare for another year of fostering childhood literacy and imagination. They have made arrangements, however, for a couple of special events to keep the tradition alive through the winter chill. "It's time for our regularly scheduled December storytime break," the Arlington Public Library succinctly expressed, "We will see you again in the New Year." Yet even as most activities wind down, there will be two opportunities for families to gather at the book-lined havens.
The reduced schedule showcases two standouts: the cozy "Winter Pajama Storytime" set for Monday, December 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Southwest Branch, and "Tottie Lynn Storytime with APL" happening on Friday, December 19, from 9:30 to 10 a.m., at Dottie Lynn Rec Center. These events offer a chance for kids to engage with stories and literature in a festive, relaxed setting while also providing a bridge to the library's full roster of events come January.
