As winter tightens its grip, Minnesotans are preparing not just for the drop in temperature but also for the rise in seasonal illnesses. The city of Blaine is stepping up with a free session aimed at arming its residents with the knowledge they need to stay healthy through the chilly months. The session, hosted by Ruth from Home Instead, will focus on practical tips for flu and cold prevention, including hygiene best practices and ways to bolster the immune system.
Attendees can also expect to learn strategies for staying active during winter, which is no simple feat when the landscape turns into a snow globe. And, because the cold brings its own set of hazards, the session will tackle winter safety topics specific to Minnesota's frosty conditions—including heating safety, fall prevention, and the all-important emergency preparedness. The session is set for Tuesday, November 18, at 10:30AM., and will be held at the MAYC located at 9150 Central Ave NE.
Spaces are limited, and Minnesotans interested in attending are encouraged to secure their spot quickly. Registration is straightforward: go online and complete the registration at BlaineMN.gov/MAYCRegister, or if you're not as internet-savvy, a quick phone call to 763-786-9375 will also do the trick.
