For the reporting period from last Monday to Sunday, Clayton Police Department officers responded to 496 calls for service. These included 30 vehicle crashes, two of which involved pedestrians, and 49 calls to assist other agencies, according to the City of Clayton.

Last Monday, the Clayton Police Department responded to multiple incidents. In the Moorlands neighborhood, residents reported property damage after an overhead door to a shared garage would not open; the investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified. A construction worker was seriously injured after being struck by a dump truck and was transported to a hospital. On I-170, a vehicle crash occurred when a man attempted to merge and collided with another car, causing significant damage but no injuries. Another multi-vehicle crash on the same interstate involved no injuries, though one vehicle required towing.

Midweek, Clayton Police responded to a home burglary reported during ongoing renovations, with jewelry reported missing; no suspects have been identified. Last Tuesday evening, a man reported being struck by a vehicle on Topton Way. After being diagnosed with a concussion, he filed the report, and officers later contacted the driver, who confirmed the incident and noted poor visibility due to weather and the pedestrian’s dark clothing. Additionally, a collision on S. Hanley Rd. resulted in one vehicle being towed and a passenger receiving medical attention for leg and back pain.

Stolen property was recovered when a resident located his daughter's bicycle, which had a tracking device. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department apprehended a suspect found in possession of the bicycle. "SLMPD Officers explained they had recovered the bicycle while investigating a report of a man attempting to break into vehicles on Lindell," as per the county's release. The suspect was taken into custody for burglary and property damage. In other incidents, a woman was involved in a minor crash with no reported injuries but declined medical care. Additional hit-and-runs and traffic-related incidents involved local officers, including a case where a driver refused to cooperate following a collision.

Other incidents reported by the Clayton Police Department included bank fraud, where a manager stated that a man cashed a fake check and obtained $5,000 last month; the investigation is ongoing. A hit-and-run on Forest Park Parkway also remains under investigation, though officers have identified the vehicle owner. Additionally, a party attendee reported a stolen firearm. Traffic-related incidents concluded over the weekend with a crash at a busy intersection and the arrest of a DUI suspect on Sunday.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact the Clayton Police Department at (314) 645-3000. Investigations are ongoing, and legal proceedings are underway for individuals taken into custody.
