
A man believed to be in his early 30s was rushed to a Honolulu hospital yesterday afternoon after an apparent stabbing near the busy Walmart on Keeaumoku Street, authorities said. Emergency crews treated him at the scene before taking him to an emergency room in serious condition.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said they responded to 700 Keeaumoku St. at about 12:30 p.m. and treated and transported a 34-year-old man in serious condition, according to Hawaii News Now. Paramedics took the man from the scene to a hospital for further care while investigators remained in the area.

KITV reported the injury as an apparent stab wound and noted that police had not made any arrests at the time of reporting. The Keeaumoku-Ward corridor has seen similar violent incidents in recent years. A June 2024 stabbing at a bus stop outside the Keeaumoku Walmart left a store employee critically injured and later led to an arrest, as reported by the Star-Advertiser.
