As Denton residents prepare for Thanksgiving festivities, the City of Denton has outlined important information on operational changes and recycling directives to ensure a smooth holiday experience. As per their recent social media post, city offices across Denton are set to close on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday. Those who need to access city services should plan accordingly, as regular hours are temporarily on pause during these days.
Garbage collection also sees a shift with Thursday's typical curbside pickups pushed to Friday, November 28, which means residents will need to hold onto their trash for one more day, and while the Landfill and Home Chemical Collection Center will shut its doors on Thanksgiving Day, they will reopen on Friday from 7 a.m. to noon, so residents should plan their waste disposal around these timings.
The City of Denton outlined these changes in a social media post, ensuring citizens can access the full details with ease.
