In a statement posted on their Facebook page, the Denver Police Department outlined that the initiative aims to address concerns about safety and criminal activity in far northeast Denver, where the station is strategically placed at 7306 E. 36th Avenue.
The new establishment isn't a 24/7 hub for emergency responses, but it is poised to enhance officer accessibility and community engagement. According to the Denver Police Department, "the space will support officer accessibility and community engagement — bringing Denver Police officers closer to the neighborhoods they serve." This move, they believe, will increase visibility in the area, fostering stronger connections between law enforcement and residents, business owners, and visitors.
The Denver Police Department has extended gratitude to Quebec Square Shopping Center and Capital Asset Management for the donation of the space for the satellite station. Recognition was also given to the local businesses that provided nourishment and drinks, contributing to the festive atmosphere of the opening.
