Last weekend, Deputy Adams and his K9 partner, Mak, from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office participated in the K9s United Law Enforcement K9 Obstacle Course Competition in Jacksonville. According to a CCSO social media post, the event combined athletic challenges and educational activities while also serving as a charity to support K9 units nationwide.
Deputy Adams and K9 Mak completed the course with professionalism and determination. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office described the event as "plenty of fun" and thanked attendees in a statement: "We also want to thank everyone who came out and cheered for Deputy Adams and K9 Mak—and all of the participating agencies! Your support makes a difference."
As per the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, events like these highlight the work of law enforcement K9 units and their handlers while promoting community engagement. The CCSO said the competitions also provide an opportunity to "serve alongside these courageous teams and support the communities they protect."
