North Las Vegas is poised to become the new home of DieselCore, a Houston company specializing in diesel engine and parts remanufacturing. The Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) recently greenlit tax abatements totaling $117,286, to help facilitate the establishment of DieselCore's latest facility. With these incentives, DieselCore is expected to bring 87 new jobs to the area, featuring an average hourly wage of $31.61, over a five-year span.
Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown of North Las Vegas expressed enthusiasm about DieselCore's upcoming presence. As reported by the official City of North Las Vegas website, she stated, "We are excited to welcome DieselCore to North Las Vegas. Their investment reinforces that our City is a hub for manufacturing and distribution." Her remarks also touched on the expected benefits to locals, noting "DieselCore's philosophy of renewal and sustainability will now create meaningful career paths and opportunities for our residents."
This initiative is not just about job creation. The GOED projects that DieselCore's new facility will generate a significant financial boon for the region, with $7.2 million in new taxes over the next decade.
