The Duncanville Police Department has brought a significant narcotics operation to a close, seizing around $10 million worth of illegal drugs and several weapons, as a lengthy undercover investigation reached its climax with the recent arrest of three individuals now facing federal narcotics charges, according to a statement from the department.
Details of the investigation indicate that over the last several weeks, the Duncanville Narcotics Unit, in conjunction with DEA agents, honed in on a drug trafficking network spreading methamphetamine throughout Duncanville and Dallas County, detectives meticulously tracking and eventually tracing the operation back to a residential lab where the methamphetamine was actively being produced, according to the Duncanville Police Department.
The culmination of their efforts was realized last Monday, when a combined force of the Duncanville SWAT Team and DEA personnel executed a search warrant at a Dallas County residence, finding an active methamphetamine conversion lab, where an estimated 250 kilograms of the drug, along with multiple firearms, were discovered.
Duncanville Chief of Police Matt Stogner expressed his pride in the efforts of the teams involved, saying, "I’m incredibly proud of our detectives and their tenacity during this investigation," and praising the narcotics unit's partnership with the DEA for their "exceptional dedication and professionalism in dismantling a significant methamphetamine distribution network harming our community," as reported in a news release from the Duncanville Police Department.
