In another incident, Christopher Vanzant struck a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer with a closed fist after leading a dangerous chase, accompanied by attempts to use narcotics during the interdiction. An equally harrowing scenario involved Nicomedes Jimenez who, having two active warrants, led officers on a 20-mile high-speed pursuit, nearly causing a law enforcement officer serious injury in the process.
