Everett will kick off its Wintertide celebration on November 28 with a free tree lighting, hourly blizzards on Colby and Hewitt avenues, live entertainment, and Santa photos at the Historic Theatre. The city is offering over 40 holiday activities, including the start of Holiday Hooves: 12 Days of Reindeer and the Port of Everett’s Holiday on the Bay, according to the City of Everett.
“The holidays are an expensive time of year; I’m proud we’re able to offer such a fantastic variety of free holiday fun for our community to enjoy thanks to grant and tourism funding," said Mayor Cassie Franklin. Other events include Shop Small on Small Business Saturday and the Downtown Everett Association’s Cookie Crawl on December 13, as reported by the City of Everett.
Everett is hosting a range of holiday events this season, including the Downtown Everett Holiday Lights and decorated streets. On December 21, the Everett Figure Skating Club will present "December to Remember: Christmas on Broadway, Everett Style." The city also offers quieter activities, such as the new Deck the Boughs event at the Evergreen Arboretum, where visitors can hang a wish tag and join a Sunrise Solstice Walk. Mayor Franklin said, "Whether you are enjoying the beautiful holiday lights, shopping at one of our fabulous local businesses or trying a new restaurant with friends, these moments bring our community together and remind us of what makes Everett such a special place to visit and to call home," as stated by the City of Everett.
