
The National Weather Service reports that patchy fog in Houston is expected to clear by 9 a.m., followed by sunny skies with highs near 85 degrees. Light winds from the south will shift to the southwest at 5 to 10 mph later in the morning, as reported by the National Weather Service.
The warm trend continues into the night with mostly clear skies and a low around 66 degrees. FOX 26 Houston states that humid air will bring patchy fog through early Saturday, which may reduce visibility during the morning commute. Highs on Saturday are expected to reach the upper 80s, close to the record of 89 degrees. A strong cold front is forecast to move in late Saturday night, bringing a 20 percent chance of showers. The National Weather Service says the front will bring cooler and breezy conditions with winds up to 30 mph on Sunday.
A cold front is expected to bring colder air to Houston and nearby areas. "Sunday will be breezy and much cooler with highs in the low 70s. By Monday and Tuesday morning, low temperatures behind the front are forecast to drop into the low 40s in Houston, with readings potentially reaching the 30s north of the city," as mentioned by FOX 26 Houston. The latest drought monitor also shows worsening dry conditions across Southeast Texas, with severe drought affecting parts of Austin, Colorado, and Wharton counties. Monday will be sunny with highs near 59 degrees and lows around 42 degrees, while Veterans Day will see temperatures rise to around 70 degrees under clear skies.
