Waikīkī restaurant Duke’s plans to open a new location next to the Four Seasons Resort Oʻahu at Ko Olina, T S Restaurants announced, according to Hawaii Public Radio.
Duke’s at The Cove is set to open at Waianiani at The Cove, the site previously home to Paradise Cove Luau, which will close by the end of the year. T S Restaurants CEO Jackie Reed told Hawaii Public Radio that the move aligns with the company’s goals for the new location.
Despite their flagship Kimo’s being destroyed by a 2023 wildfire, T S Restaurants is expanding, with a new Kona location set to open mid-next year. According to Hawaii News Now, CEO Jackie Reed emphasized the company’s commitment to Hawaiian culture and honoring the legacy of Duke Kahanamoku, the iconic athlete the restaurant celebrates.
The new Duke’s at The Cove plans to hire up to 200 people, boosting the local economy. CEO Jackie Reed told Hawaii Public Radio that the restaurant will open in roughly three years, with a projected 2028 debut.
