
Thursday evening in Waiʻanae, a 43-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a vehicle driver and a Honolulu Police officer on Lahaina Street, according to the Honolulu Police Department (Official Site)'s Post.
Around 6:40 p.m., an intoxicated man in Waiʻanae interfered with first responders and kicked a police officer, causing minor injuries. He was charged with Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer in the First Degree, authorities reported.
Initial reports suggested a pedestrian-vehicle collision, but witnesses confirmed no collision occurred. The intoxicated man instead assaulted a driver on the roadway.
