A tragic incident unfolded in Jacksonville's Mandarin area where a man was discovered deceased from a gunshot wound inside the garage of a residence. The discovery was made on Monday evening, with local law enforcement responding to the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m., as confirmed by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO). The location specified was the 11000 block of Rustic Green Court, nestled near Losco Road, an area that has since been cordoned off as part of the ongoing investigation.
According to News4Jax, the victim was identified as a middle-aged man, who was declared dead at the scene. In the interim, two individuals are currently being held and questioned regarding the incident.
In a related report by First Coast News, JSO Sgt. Kyle Matthews clarified that the man was in the age range of 30-40 years old, though his identity has not been publicly released.
The events leading up to this man's death remain unclear, and the Sheriff's Office is diligently piecing together the circumstances. Notwithstanding, two individuals were removed from the crime scene and are being interviewed at JSO headquarters, as noted in a report by Action News Jax.
