In a social media update, the office thanked the public for their assistance, stating, "We’re happy to share we have found Mr. Carter and he is home safe. Thank you to everyone who helped us spread the word!"
Concerns increased after Thomas Carter, who has dementia, went missing near Parental Home Boulevard close to Beach Boulevard. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office described him as 5’10, 150 pounds, with green eyes, grey hair, and a long beard. He was last seen wearing a maroon baseball hat, black Jaguars jacket, black pajama pants with gold skeletons, and black tennis shoes.
