In a substantial crackdown on suspected illegal drug activities, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office provided details on a significant seizure of drugs and firearms from a house on Ken Knight Drive. The bust, coming after a tip-off about the premises, led to an intensive investigation by the #JSO Narcotics Unit, resulting in two arrests and the confiscation of various substances alongside a firearm and cash. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office's social media post, the search warrant executed on October 14 yielded "187.4 grams of MDMA, 87.1 grams of Powder Cocaine, 11.9 grams of Crack Cocaine, 508.3 grams of Marijuana, 1 revolver, and $1,539 in cash."
The operation, which also saw the collaboration of District 6 Patrol officers, detained two individuals. Arrested at the house were 74-year-old Kenneth Hardmon and 43-year-old Frederick Johnson. Reportedly facing multiple felony charges, the house on Ken Knight Drive became the focus after painstaking efforts by the detectives to build a solid case.
The suspects, Hardmon and Johnson, find their freedom in jeopardy, caught within the rigid nets of law for their alleged roles in a drug operation that has culled the harvest of their labor's illicit fruits. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has encouraged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that dots their neighborhood's landscape.
Community engagement remains an important part of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office strategy to combat drug-related crimes. The agency emphasized that public tips play a key role in supporting law enforcement. They encouraged residents to report any suspicious activity by calling 904-630-0500.
