The City of Keller is gearing up for a pair of public hearings crucial to the area's urban development, scheduled for December 9. At 7 p.m., the Planning & Zoning Commission will convene to discuss matters, including an extension request for a financial establishment and the temporary conversion of a residential home into an accessory dwelling during new construction, as per an official announcement by the City of Keller.
First on the agenda is the request from Frost Bank for a two-year extension on their Specific Use Permit initially approved on December 3, 2024, this extension is sought to give the bank additional time to clear the necessary hurdles to secure a building permit, the details of which outline the site at 1231 Keller Parkway as having just over an acre of potential, as per the announcement on the city's website. The commission will also deliberate on a proposal concerning a single-family home owned by Douglas Stamps, who seeks permission to use his 2,101-square-foot house as a temporary secondary dwelling while a new main residence is erected on the sprawling 2.83-acre lot.
These discussions are set to take place at Keller Town Hall's Council Chambers, located at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway. Residents and parties interested in the outcomes or wishing to participate in the public discourse can mark their calendars for this pivotal local government meeting, while the complete meeting agenda will be made available online by December 4.
