Southbound Interstate 11/U.S. 95 has once again opened following an early morning crash that had blockaded all lanes just west of Rancho Drive in Las Vegas. The Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol, responded to the incident, which was reported at around 2:17 a.m., according to News 3 Las Vegas. The roadway was cleared and available to drivers shortly after 5:00 a.m.
During the closure, motorists were advised to either switch onto southbound I-15 or to take an exit at Rancho Drive. As noted by News 3, a hazardous materials crew was present at the scene, though the reasons for their presence have not been clarified at this stage. Travel was disrupted for several hours as emergency services worked to securely manage the scene and to eventually reopen the interstate to its regular flow of traffic.
Additional details on the crash itself, including potential causes or involved injuries, remain undisclosed as of now. However, both News 3 Las Vegas and FOX5 Vegas are awaiting further information from authorities and will report on the crash investigation as additional details become available.
