A new travel center east of Kingman has opened its doors off Interstate 40 at DW Ranch Road, bringing five eateries new to the area, three now operating and two under construction. For owner Jaspal Singh Sidu, the opening caps a two-decade journey that began when he bought the land long before a single brick was laid.

Kingman Prime Travel Center now has three eateries up and running — Buffalo's World Famous Wings, Fatburger and Sbarro — with Port of Subs and Juice It Up! still under construction, according to The Kingman Daily Miner. Sidu bought the land 20 years before the center's opening, per the same report.

Sidu said he hopes the travel center will ultimately benefit both travelers passing through and residents of Kingman, the outlet reported.

The 8-acre commercial site at DW Ranch Road and I-40 was subdivided into five commercial parcels zoned for hospitality, gas stations and restaurants before development began, per a LoopNet listing for the property, which sits directly opposite an existing Love's Travel Stop at the same exit.

A Nearby Dispersed Camping Area

A Bureau of Land Management dispersed camping area lies along DW Ranch Road, according to The Dyrt.

More Eateries Planned

FAT Brands opened its fifth tri-branded site, featuring Fatburger, Buffalo's Express and Hot Dog on a Stick, at a Manteca, California, travel center in April 2026, according to Stock Titan.

Port of Subs and Juice It Up! are also planned for the Kingman travel center.

Growth Pressures and Highway Upgrades Converge

An ADOT interchange project near Kingman is also part of the area's highway network.

The center's opening marks the end of a two-decade wait for Sidu.
