
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a freeway shooting that occurred on Monday afternoon along the southbound lanes of Interstate 11 between Flamingo Road and Tropicana Avenue. According to News 3 Lv, shots were fired around 3:30 p.m., leading to lane closures and a large police presence at the scene.
Officers later responded to a 7-Eleven, where a man was found in a vehicle suffering from a critical gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital. Deputy Chief Bryan Peterson noted an increase in road rage-related shootings, though this case has not yet been linked to that motive, and investigators are urging the public to come forward with any information.
