Los Angeles residents, you might want to hold off on putting those summer clothes away just yet. The National Weather Service has provided an extended forecast for the city, and it seems that the warm weather is stubbornly hanging on as we enter November. According to predictions, today will witness patchy fog in the morning but should clear up to a sunny high near 80 degrees. The calm winds will pick up slightly in the afternoon, possibly to ironically offer a gentle reminder that fall is, indeed, here, despite what the temperatures say.
As we sail through the weekend, similar conditions are expected. The mornings will likely to start with fog, only to gradually clear up later. Tonight's forecast warns of fog after 11 p.m. and an increase in clouds with lows chilling down to around 57 degrees. The pattern persists into next week with the NWS calling for partly sunny skies on Monday and a high nearing 78, then a slightly cooler stint with highs dropping to the mid-70s by Wednesday. It's a seesaw of sun and clouds, the fog seemingly loath to fully release its hold on the mornings, though it doesn't seem to deter the sun's determination to blaze through by the afternoon.
For those looking toward the end of next week, it's sunshine as far as the eye can see. Thursday promises to be mostly sunny after the patchy fog clears, with a pleasant high near 75 degrees. As the workweek wraps up, Friday is set to deliver clear skies and temperatures climbing back up to the 80-degree mark.
