A recent bust during a routine patrol in the City of Pewaukee has led to multiple charges against a Madison man. According to a social media post from the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, a Deputy came across an individual asleep in his vehicle on October 28. The vehicle was parked in a park-and-ride lot and, upon approach, the Deputy reportedly saw drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed two small bags of methamphetamine, two smoking pipes, and a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, which was confirmed as stolen.
Kevin Pila, the man from Madison, Wisconsin, faced charges in Waukesha County Circuit Court, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, and bail jumping. These charges came after his arrest on October 28, and he was expected to appear in court subsequently for this case. However, Pila failed to appear for a scheduled court date on Tuesday, November 11, leading to a bench warrant for his arrest, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department post.
The Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office is moving forward with the case involving Pila, who is currently being sought by authorities. A stolen firearm was recovered in connection with the incident. Officials say the case involves charges related to possession and ongoing investigations into associated offenses.
Pila failed to appear for his scheduled court date, and authorities are continuing efforts to locate him. Officials encourage anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact law enforcement.
