A man is now hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in the head during an early Sunday morning disturbance at a North Side club in San Antonio, as per police reports. According to a preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) obtained by KSAT, officers received multiple calls about a shooting just after 2 a.m. in the 18000 block of Tuscany Stone. KSAT reports that upon the officers' arrival, they discovered the victim inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.
The disturbance which started inside the club, continued outside and escalated to gunfire, according to San Antonio Police Department. At the time when one person tried leaving the club with his friends, the man was shot, trying to leave with his group, was shot. SAPD said, "As one person tried to leave with his group of friends, someone involved fired a shot that struck the man in the head." The victim's condition was initially critical but was later updated to stable as reported by KSAT.
In another report by KENS 5, details emerged about the victim's age and circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victim, a 22-year-old man, was attempting to exit the club with friends when he was shot by an assailant from another group. The shooter then fled the scene in a vehicle, and despite a search by police, remains at large.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the suspect is still evaded capture by San Antonio Police Department. The department is urging anyone with information to come forward.
