
Memphis Safe Task Force, working with the United States Marshals Service Special Operations Group, arrested 19-year-old Martravius Vinson in Memphis, Tennessee, yesterday. According to a statement from the U.S. Marshals, the arrest occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on the 4000 block of Shadcrest Road. Vinson was wanted on charges of second-degree murder, and the arrest was carried out within an hour of the warrant being issued.
U.S. Marshals Service Director Gadyaces S. Serralta highlighted the swift action of the Memphis Safe Task Force. The task force, which includes members from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, demonstrates the effectiveness of multi-agency cooperation in addressing serious crimes in the area.
The Memphis Safe Task Force focuses on public safety, with transparency and accountability central to its operations. The Task Force is committed to sending a "decisive message to violent offenders that law enforcement is united, vigilant, and resolute," according to a press release.
The Special Operations Group, which deploys highly trained agents for complex operations, supports the enforcement of the federal judicial system. The group operates both nationally and internationally to uphold the rule of law.
