The Grafton Police Department has issued an update confirming that Ethan Gerth, a 15-year-old previously reported as missing and endangered, has been found safe. The teenager had last been seen near Wildwood Park in Grafton on Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m. He was reported not to have attended the Grafton High School football game he was scheduled to go to, sparking concerns for his safety.
According to WISN, before he was found, Ethan was believed to have originally spent time at a friend's house in Port Washington before eventually moving to the Plymouth area. A phone ping on Saturday seemed to indicate his presence in Plymouth; however, initial searches in that location by local police were unsuccessful. Ethan’s appearance was detailed, with emphasis on his unique shoulder-length hair featuring a streak of red dye, and his six-foot height.
Ethan's case took a welcome turn when an updated alert from the Wisconsin Alert Network, referenced by jsonline.com, was released, stating that he was found safe as of Sunday at 4:17 p.m. Details surrounding the circumstances of his discovery were not immediately provided.
Before he was located, concerns were augmented by the fact that, as reported by FOX6Now, Ethan was not taking his ADHD medications and was making "illogical/irrational decisions," according to his father. The father also mentioned that his son might be suffering from depression, adding a layer of urgency to finding the young man.
