As the holiday season nears, the Orlando Museum of Art is set to be transformed into a winter wonderland for the annual Festival of Trees. Starting November 15 through November 23, the Council of 101 will present its 39th installment of this decorated event, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the festive spirit. According to Bungalower, this year's theme, “A Season of Celebration,” will bring more than 50 uniquely adorned trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses, and more, all up for grabs with the proceeds to benefit the museum's educational and outreach initiatives.
Among the traditional favorites, there are some new features ready to literally light up the gallery spaces. Visitors can now easily stroll Santa Claus Lane, get creative in holiday workshops, tour festive homes, and cap their experience with the Sip & Sleigh cocktail party. Meanwhile, for the early risers, the Breakfast with Santa already boasts a sold-out slate, proving its unwaning popularity. General admission for this holiday affair is pegged at $20 for adults, with available discounts for children, seniors, active military, and first responders. Bungalower highlights the dedicated days, such as Military Appreciation and Educators Day, ensuring a broad community engagement.
The Orlando Museum of Art will not just be a sight for sore eyes but also an opportunity for visitors to get ahead on their holiday shopping. A Holiday Boutique will offer an assortment of unique gifts, joining the familiar Toyland section celebrated for children's holiday décor and collectibles. For those seeking a dash of competition, the Ugly Holiday Sweater Party will provide a chance to show off their kitsch style. This was noted by Orlando Shine, emphasizing the mix of artistic displays and interactive festivities.s.
