
In Oxnard, a routine traffic stop escalated into a firearm arrest on the corner of Seventh Street and Meta Street on November 29, according to a news release from the Oxnard Police Department. 21-year-old Jesus Aguirre was found in possession of a loaded firearm after being stopped by officers for a vehicle code violation, the incident report published by the department highlighted.
The vehicle search that led to the discovery of the firearm was conducted during the stop, and Aguirre was promptly arrested and charged with multiple firearms violations, Oxnard police said in the statement.
