Raleigh residents can expect a mix of clouds, sun, and scattered showers over the coming days. Today's weather brings increasing clouds with a pleasant high near 64 degrees, complemented by a calm wind shifting south in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, NC.
However, the forecast isn’t all clear skies. Tonight brings a 40% chance of showers mainly between 1am and 5am, coupled with mostly cloudy conditions and a comfortable low around 49 degrees. The NWS cautions that new precipitation amounts will likely be less than a tenth of an inch. Wednesday promises sunny respite with a high soaring near 73 degrees and light winds, before transitioning to a partly cloudy Wednesday night with a low hovering around 49.
For those planning later in the week, Thursday maintains the mostly sunny theme, forecasting a high near 70 degrees. The night’s rest is predicted to be mostly cloudy as the low drops to 54. Friday's conditions waver slightly, predicting mostly cloudy skies with a warm high near 75.
Looking toward the weekend, the weather appears slightly erratic. Friday night may bring showers after 1am, with a 40% chance and a low around 59. A similar chance of rain exists Saturday before 1pm, but partly sunny skies and a high near 69 are expected to follow, according to NWS forecasts.
In terms of weather hazards, the NWS has also issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook. While dry air and very dry fine fuels may cause isolated brush fires to ignite more easily this Tuesday afternoon, risk is minimized by light winds. Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time, and there are no hazardous weather conditions expected from Wednesday through Monday.
