In the brisk early hours of November 1, a distress call pierced the tranquility of Security-Widefield, unraveling a scene of domestic violence that led to the arrest of 42-year-old Sean Tierney. According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at a residence on the 500 block of Norman Drive and was promptly reported to authorities.
The emergency call featured in the background, the harrowing sound of someone screaming for help amidst what was reported as a violent disturbance. Deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office arrived swiftly and were met at the door by an individual who claimed that Tierney was "beating" the victim in the bathroom. What they found was the grim tableau of domestic assault, with the victim suffering from significant head and upper body injuries.
Upon intervening, deputies discovered Tierney in the bathroom alongside the injured party. The confrontation peaked when the suspect resisted arrest, engaging in a "brief struggle" before being subdued and taken into custody, as detailed by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. The victim received prompt medical attention from the Security Fire Department and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained.
