
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting new law enforcement and youth resource deputies for a hire class beginning on February 9, 2026. The agency announced the openings through a recent social media post and encourages interested applicants to begin the process promptly, as reported by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
To support out-of-state candidates, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and St. Johns River State College will hold an Equivalency of Training program from January 12–15, 2026. Applicants must visit JoinSJSO.com, go to “Helpful Links,” and follow the FDLE Approved Selection Centers List and EOT Application to register, as stated by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, all required paperwork— including the application, Form 76, and any needed waivers — is due on December 18.
