Last Friday evening, two climbers became stranded midway on the "Crimson Chrysalis" route at Juniper Canyon when their rope got stuck near the 5th pitch. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Search and Rescue team aboard AIR1 was dispatched around 7 p.m. to assist.

A SAR officer and a Lead Climb volunteer were lowered from the top via a lezard hoist to help the climbers. Despite multiple attempts to free the rope, the climbers were unable to continue their descent and relied on SAR for a safe rescue, as stated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Search and Rescue.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Search and Rescue on their Instagram account, rescuers freed a stuck rope, allowing the climbers to rappel safely. AIR1 then returned to pick up the climbers and SAR personnel from the cliff. On the ground, the climbers were taken to the BLM helipad and handed over to BLM Rangers. No further medical assistance was needed. The incident was recorded under reference number LLV251100025784.
