
The National Weather Service in St. Louis reports that residents can expect a mix of sunshine and possible weekend showers. Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 65 degrees. Winds will shift from the east to the southeast in the afternoon, increasing to 8–13 mph, with gusts up to 22 mph in the evening.
As night falls, the area is expected to see increasing cloud cover with a low around 55 degrees. Southeast winds of 8 to 10 mph will shift to the southwest after midnight, with gusts up to 21 mph. On Friday, cloudy skies are forecast in the morning before gradual clearing, with a high near 72 degrees. Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 46 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday carries a 20 percent chance of rain after noon under partly sunny skies, with temperatures around 67 degrees. Conditions will turn mostly cloudy in the evening, with rain likely tapering off by midnight. On Sunday, mostly sunny skies are expected, but temperatures will drop significantly, with highs near 42 degrees.
The beginning of next week is expected to continue the sunny weather, with Monday’s high near 43 degrees and a mostly clear evening bringing lows around 29. Veterans Day and Wednesday will mark a return to milder conditions, with highs around 60 and 64 degrees, according to the NWS.
