Business owners in Tacoma have a chance to strengthen their qualifications through a certification workshop hosted by the City of Tacoma and the Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises. Scheduled for November 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Tacoma Municipal Building, the class is designed for minority, women, and disadvantaged business owners seeking OMWBE certification, according to the City of Tacoma.
The session aims to help participants complete and submit their certification applications by the end of the workshop. Led by Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises certification analyst Resie Rogers, the hands-on training will guide attendees through the process efficiently, offering a direct path toward expanding business opportunities and securing new contracts, as reported by the City of Tacoma.
Registration is required for those who wish to attend. The City of Tacoma encourages in-person participation but also offers a virtual option, reflecting a hybrid approach to inclusion. Details and registration instructions for the certification class are available at makeittacoma.com/events, where attendees can also find a list of materials to prepare.
