Residents of Atlantic Beach are being informed of changes to the trash collection schedule for Thanksgiving. The City of Atlantic Beach announced that garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection will be suspended on November 27, in observance of the holiday. Normally, the city's sanitation services run daily, except on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Residents with Thursday trash collection are asked to hold their waste until the rescheduled pickup on November 29. The city’s announcement notes that all other collection days during the Thanksgiving week will continue as usual.
Residents are reminded to hold onto trash and recycling until Saturday if their usual pickup falls on Thanksgiving Day. Regular collection for other days of the week will continue as scheduled. For additional information or questions, residents can visit the City of Atlantic Beach website.
