Last Friday, three individuals, including two 18-year-olds and a minor, led the Memphis Safe Task Force on a high-speed pursuit, ending in their "immediate capture" after the vehicle crashed into a telephone pole. The suspects, Lecedri Brown, Christopher Bridges, and an unidentified minor, were charged with evading arrest and unlawful possession of a firearm, as reported by Action News 5.
Authorities found an illegally modified firearm with a switch in the vehicle, capable of converting a semi-automatic gun to fully automatic. Both Brown and Bridges are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Bridges faces charges of speeding, disregarding a traffic control device, and felony property theft, and he was already out on bond for similar cases. The U.S. Marshals Service told WREG that the stolen gun was modified with a "switch," which changes a semiautomatic handgun to fully automatic. Bridges’ bail is set at $50,000, and Brown’s bail is $5,000. Both are in Shelby County Jail. No details or hearing information are available for the minor involved.
