Wake County Public Health has launched its 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccination program across multiple clinic locations. All clinics will operate by appointment only to help manage patient flow and ensure an efficient vaccination process.

The vaccine, approved for individuals aged 6 months and older, is now available through the county’s public health system to address expected increases in COVID-19 cases during the holiday season. "The updated vaccine is an important tool to help prevent serious illness as we head into the season of holiday gatherings and travel," Wake County Commissioner Cheryl Stallings said in an official announcement.

Wake County Public Health recommends that individuals at higher risk for severe COVID-19 complications consider getting vaccinated. They also advise anyone planning to receive the vaccine to consult with their healthcare provider to make an informed decision.

Residents can schedule COVID-19 vaccinations at any of Wake County’s five clinic locations, including the Wake County Public Health Center on Sunnybrook Road and sites near Departure Drive and Judd Parkway. Appointments can be made by calling the direct number for each site, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vaccinations are generally covered by most health insurance plans, and assistance is available for those without insurance.
