Commencing the week with the USMC 250th birthday celebration, the department's update highlighted Officer Osborne's completion of field training, fitting into a week also marked by Veterans Day. Despite Officer Osborne having completed his field training, the announcement of the annual Christmas Card decorating contest was made, suggesting an air of festivity and engagement within the department. Also to mention was the Honey Combs fundraiser held at Chick-Fil-A, in which officers engaged while raising funds and spirits alike. Among the kindnesses rendered, stuffed animals were donated to bring solace to those in need.
The post continued, serving up information on the increase of traffic stops—a notable 66% climb with 472 stops in October, the chase down of a felony theft suspect in a joint effort with Fort Worth PD, and the observance of Records Appreciation Day.
