
Philadelphia has seen the arrest of an Amazon delivery driver following a deadly incident in Allentown last month. Troy Johnson, 30, linked to a road rage altercation that resulted in a man's death, was apprehended in West Philadelphia, as reported by KYW Newsradio. According to authorities, the confrontation between Johnson and a 29-year-old man occurred on Nov. 21, where the driver is alleged to have intentionally struck the victim with his vehicle before fleeing the scene, resulting in the man's later demise.
While the identity of the victim remains undisclosed, details have emerged about the pursuit of the suspect leading to the recent arrest. The U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and Allentown detectives, working in tandem, apprehended Johnson at approximately 7:30 a.m. today inside a family member's household located in the 5400 block of Norfolk Street. According to Lehigh Valley Live, Johnson was found inside the property, owned by his family members, when the investigators raided the location.
Following his capture, Johnson has been charged with third-degree murder. Johnson, who was at the time of the incident operating as an Amazon delivery driver, led to the issuance of an arrest warrant on Dec. 10 after being identified as the prime suspect in this fatal incident. As noted by FOX 29, Johnson is currently detained and awaiting further legal proceedings.
