The Sheriff's department has recently flagged a concerning number of incidents involving e-bikes and e-dirt bikes. These aren’t mere scratches and bruises; we're talking serious injuries and, distressingly, fatalities. In a post on their official Facebook page, the sheriff's office emphasized the necessity to carefully consider and adhere to the rules of operation. "We’ve seen several E-bike and E-dirt bike-related injuries, and tragically, two fatalities here in Douglas County," the post read, as per the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, urging community members to not only ride responsibly but to fully educate themselves on the legal parameters of e-vehicle use.
