In Marana, the skies have a new shape, as Ascent Aviation Services inaugurated two sprawling new hangars at Pinal County's Pinal Airpark. These hangars, a manifestation of advancement and expansion, pave the way for the company to initiate transformations of 777 airplanes from passenger jets into freighters. Having marked its presence at the airpark for years, Ascent Aviation's new facilities herald a step forward in the local aviation industry.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony held earlier this week, Ascent Aviation's President Dave Querio expressed pride in the company's growth, stating, "These new hangars allow us to extend our service capabilities significantly." According to a Pinal County website report, District 4 Supervisor Jeffrey McClure provided insight into the economic repercussions of the expansion, accentuating the potential ripple effects across Pinal County.
Indeed, the economic implications of this expansion are profound, creating not only direct job opportunities within Ascent Aviation but also potentially boosting the region's economy through secondary employment and commerce. With these ultra-modern hangars enabling work on significant aircraft models, the airpark is expected to attract a further confluence of aerospace expertise and activity.
While discussing the new hangars and their significance, McClure highlighted the collective efforts that brought the project to fruition, "Working together with Ascent Aviation, we've been able to bring this project to life, making it a win for Pinal County." Despite the clear blue skies on the day of the ribbon-cutting, the clear economic forecast for Pinal Airpark seems equally promising, as these hangars represent a sizable investment in the region's infrastructure and future. Residents, whose lives stand to be uplifted by the increased job prospects, waited for the jet engines to roar into a new era of prosperity.
