Tonight, Atlanta faces more rain and thunderstorms before giving way to a slight chance of rain between 2am and 3am. While the low will hover around 40, the south wind will switch west after midnight, potentially gusting to as high as 30 mph. The persistence of precipitation will remain at 90%, bringing additional rainfall amounts similar to those of the daytime.
Looking ahead, the forecast promises brighter skies. Tomorrow will bring sunshine with a high near 52 and a northwest wind of 10 to 15 mph, while gusts may reach 25 mph. Tomorrow night's skies are set to be clear, with a low around 32, and calming northwest winds in the evening. The weekend continues this pleasant pattern, with a sunny Saturday and a high near 59.
While Sunday introduces a 20 percent chance of showers, most of the day should remain mostly sunny with a high around 62. The evening, too, "mostly clear, with a low around 37," as the coming week begins on a sunny note, with highs warming from the mid-50s to near 68 by Wednesday, as noted by the NWS. The nights will stay partly to mostly clear, with lows in the mid-30s to mid-40s.
