Come December 13, the Health on the Go Community Health Hub will transform the North Hennepin Community College's Grand Hall into a wellness wonderland, complete with over 75 vendors, free health screenings, and a slew of education opportunities — not to mention free food and giveaways for all ages, in a bid to provide accessible health and housing resources, the city's bulletin details, residents can count on a Saturday well-spent mingling with community partners and stocking up on valuable wellness info.
Furthermore, the Youth Mental Health Awareness Retreat scheduled for December 20 is a proactive push to tackle one of today's most pressing issues: the mental well-being of young people. According to the same city announcement, this retreat is tailored to educate both the youth and their caregivers, offering a platform for renowned speaker Mahmoud Abdul Raul to share his experiences, all while equipping attendees with practical mental health strategies.
