Tyler Feight, previously released on probation for an assault on a jogger in College Park, has been detained once again. According to a WFTV report, Feight violated the terms of his probation, necessitating his return to jail. Concerns from neighbors about Feight's sentence being insufficient had been burgeoning since his release, and the probation violation seems to have validated their apprehensions.

The initial incident occurred in April, when Feight attacked a female jogger on Northumberland Avenue, attempting to overpower her. Now, the Florida Department of Corrections has issued an arrest warrant for his failure to appear for a mandated psychosexual evaluation, and charges also allege that he changed his address without notifying his probation officer. Captured by law enforcement, Feight is being held at the Orange County Jail under new charges, according to WESH.

The case originally stemmed from an attack where the victim reported that during an early morning jog, Feight tried to get on top of her. She managed to fend him off by kicking and screaming, which led to his arrest on charges of battery and attempted sexual battery. State Attorney Monique Worrell, however, cited a lack of evidence for the attempted sexual battery charge adequate to secure a conviction, leading to a plea deal for battery. Under the plea's terms, Feight was put on a three-year probation following 225 days served in county jail.
