
In an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl, Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner joined forces with the New Life Community Church in Frisco on Sunday. The Sheriff was warmly received by Senior Pastor James Hutchins and given a platform to address the congregation, particularly parents and students, about the challenges threatening the safety within schools, as reported through a social media post by the Collin County Sheriff's Office.
During the service, Sheriff Skinner participated in a panel discussion, described as "powerful" by the organizers; they tackled issues of prevention and community involvement, spotlighting the growing peril fentanyl poses to the younger generation, his participation at the church echoes a larger, concerted effort within the community to keep its youth safe from such threats, the Collin County Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude towards New Life Community Church for taking an active role in fostering solutions to this crisis.
