The cookie run is officially over at Preston Road. Mary’s Mountain Cookies has permanently closed its Frisco shop in a neighborhood strip center, cutting off a go-to spot for oversized sweets that had become a dependable treat stop for nearby residents and office workers. Fans craving the brand’s hefty cookies in North Texas are not completely out of luck, since other locations are still operating.
The company confirmed the Frisco shop’s permanent closure in a social media post on Instagram. Community Impact reports that the now-dark storefront was located at 3311-2 Preston Road and notes that the McKinney location will remain open. The outlet also cites company plans for another Texas shop in Midlothian, slated for 2026.
Frisco Storefront, Cookie Lineup And Texas Footprint
According to the company’s official site, Mary’s Mountain Cookies specializes in freshly baked, quarter-pound cookies, ice cream cookie sandwiches and cookie cakes, with locations and online ordering listed there. The website still shows contact information for the Frisco shop, and the chain continues to offer nationwide shipping for gift orders.
The brand first planted its Texas flag in 2020 with a downtown McKinney outpost, which helped establish its presence in North Texas and eventually led to the Frisco expansion.
The former Frisco unit sits in a small retail strip along Preston Road that serves surrounding neighborhoods and nearby offices. There is no public indication yet of who might take over the vacated space. We will update this story if Mary’s Mountain Cookies or the property owner releases additional details.
