The City of Dallas has launched a new Transparency & Accountability Dashboard designed to present police oversight data to the public in a transparent and accessible manner. Introduced by the Office of Community Police Oversight (OCPO) and the Office of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, the dashboard enables residents to access information about administrative complaints against police officers, directly sourced from IAPro, the internal tracking system used for such reports. Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Police Monitor Michele Andre shared, per the City of Dallas, "This tool represents our commitment to transparency and accountability. It ensures that residents not only have access to information but can easily understand how the complaint process works and how their concerns are handled."

Featuring complaint data from October 2019 to the present, this dashboard provides a comprehensive view of community complaints, including those validated by the Dallas Police Department (DPD)'s Internal Affairs Division. By presenting real-time statistics on various aspects, such as complaint types, demographics involved, commendations received by officers, and the outcomes of investigations, the dashboard aims to foster an environment of trust between the police force and the community.

An aspect of this new online platform is its user-friendly interface, which allows for easy navigation through information concerning external administrative complaints, both submitted to the DPD and OCPO. By exploring patterns by fiscal year, council district, patrol division, and zip code, the public can now dive deep into trends with a few clicks.
