
In a late-night incident last Saturday, a man was fatally shot in the 2700 block of Samuell Boulevard in Dallas, sparking yet another police investigation into the city's continuing struggle with gun violence. According to a release posted on the Dallas Police Department, the call came in at approximately 10:20 p.m., when officers hurried to the scene.
Upon their arrival, police discovered 26-year-old Christian Velasquez Rosas suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being swiftly transported to a local hospital, Velasquez Rosas succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, adding to the grim tally of homicides the city has witnessed. The Dallas Police Department confirmed the incident is being actively investigated under case number 174753-2025.
