For families with elementary-aged kids looking for an educational outing in Plymouth, the local History Center is rolling out a series of Story Time events designed to pique the interests of the young ones, combining storytelling with interactive activities.

Starting in January and scheduled to continue through the year, these sessions will take place select Tuesdays each month from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at 3605 Fernbrook Lane N, offering families an engaging experience that's easy on the wallet—the events are free and require no registration, catering to themes from ice fishing to winter activities with each story followed by an activity related to the day’s theme; families can just show up and dive into the fun.

The Plymouth History Center itself is a historic building established in 1885 that now serves the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as the first Saturday of every month—featuring rotating exhibits, a research room, audio recording space for oral history projects, and more so while the kids dive into the day’s story and activity, adults can relish in a timeline of the city's history, thumb through old newspapers, or marvel at historical photos and models.
