The Placer County Sheriff’s Office has lifted the evacuation warning for Cisco Grove along the South Yuba River, from Donner Pass Road to Cisco Road, after water levels stabilized and flood risks subsided. The announcement came through the Sheriff’s Office's Facebook page, stating that the warning, which was first issued on Sunday due to rapidly rising river levels, is no longer in effect as the heaviest parts of the storm have passed.

Previously, the Placer County Sheriff's Office had to safely evacuate a home of nine individuals when the flooding initially took place. They maintained close coordination with public safety partners, poised to handle additional emergencies with resources like snowcats and snowmobiles strategically placed throughout the county. According to a news statement obtained by Hoodline, officials also had a dive team on standby should the need arise.

Despite the lifting of the evacuation warning, the Sheriff’s Office advises residents that the area is now covered with snow and to exercise caution during winter driving conditions. Plow crews are actively working to keep the roadways clear. The officials also recommend limiting unnecessary travel to facilitate the snow removal process.
